► SELLER'S DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a rare vintage Casio Casiotron men’s digital wristwatch, model 56CS-50, produced in the 1970s exclusively for the Japan Domestic Market (JDM). This early chronograph model showcases Casio’s pioneering digital watch technology and design from the golden era of digital innovation. The watch is in full working condition, with all features and functions operating properly — including the time, chronograph, and date display. When the backlight is activated, the screen fades slightly. This does not affect the functionality of the watch in any way and is simply a quirk from age. It comes fitted with its original stainless steel Casio-signed bracelet. The watch is in very good physical condition, showing only light signs of age and use. The photos best describe its physical condition. Key Details: • Brand: Casio • Model: 56CS-50 • Series: Casiotron • Movement: Digital Quartz • Functions: Chronograph, Time, Date • Case Material: Stainless Steel • Bracelet: Original Casio-signed stainless steel • Production Era: 1970s (Japan Domestic Market) This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a rare vintage Casiotron in well-preserved condition — a must-have for serious Casio collectors and vintage digital watch enthusiasts. Ships carefully. Feel free to message me with any questions.

► ARCHIVE FILE: CASIO — BRAND HISTORY

Casio began not with watches but with calculation. Tadao Kashio founded Kashio Seisakujo in Tokyo in 1946, and with his three brothers developed the 14-A in 1957, the world's first compact all-electric relay calculator, incorporating the business as Casio Computer Co. that same year. The move into watchmaking came in November 1974 with the Casiotron, a digital watch whose claim to fame was an automatic calendar that knew how many days each month had, a small feat of logic that announced how an electronics firm would approach timekeeping.
